Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition which can affect the brain and/or spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm, leg movement, sensation and balance. It is a lifelong condition that can cause serious disability.  MS is an unpredictable, often devastating, condition that can be relatively benign or severely disabling.

At Heath & Social Care Services, we have the experience and expertise to provide specialist nurse led patient centred care for people with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, meeting their specific needs in the home environment. We help patients to retain maximum independence, ensuring that all clinical & social aspects of their care and support are provided for.  All packages of care are fully tailored to the client’s unique needs which may inevitably change over time, as their condition progresses.

We also appreciate that it is not always easy to welcome new staff into your own home hence we have a robust recruitment process in place to provide each of our clients the right match of care assistant or nurse – both from a skills and personality perspective.  We offer you the voice and choice from the outset. Clients and families are invited to be as fully involved in the selection process to establish a consistent, reliable & dedicated care team as they wish.

Our service delivery is transparent to clients, families, associated healthcare professionals and commissioners.  We fully embrace the use of information technology and have systems in place that allows all appropriate parties to have access to real time care delivery information.
